Occurred on February 13, 2026 / Missouri, USA Info from Licensor: "I recently returned to a northwest Missouri spring-fed tributary where I have previously documented Columbian mammoth remains associated with stone tools and human modification. Earlier finds — including a proboscidean ulna and lithics — were authenticated by a University of Kansas anthropologist. During this visit, I recovered a massive femur (~54 inches, 92 lbs) from the exact same location, consistent with Columbian mammoth. The repeated association of proboscidean remains, tools, and butchering evidence suggests a localized Late Pleistocene processing site. This discovery also supports development of the Paleo Outreach Program, which connects real archaeological finds with STEM education."
