Info from Licensor: "I was facing the slope, holding the ice axe in my left hand. My watch showed 23 meters from the pass. I was already extremely exhausted, at my maximum heart rate. As I was preparing to take another step, a massive cramp suddenly hit my thigh. The pain was so intense that all I could think about was straightening my leg, while at the same time trying not to lean my body backward. I was holding the ice axe in my left hand and didn’t manage to switch it before the pain twisted me onto my side. The recording begins at the moment I realize I’m lying on a steep slope with no support points and try to drive the pick of the ice axe into the slope. Credit: Daniel Stępkowski"
